Why I came to the Hoisington/Central Kansas area
• I moved back to the Ellinwood area from Tulsa, Oklahoma after I finished esthetician school. I wanted to be closer to my family when I started my own family. I love visiting bigger cities, but I am a small-town girl at heart.
What I enjoy most about this area
• Healthcare in a small rural community means you matter to the people that you work with and the population you give back to. You’re not just a number, you’re like family. Everyone is so supportive on every level, and it just makes your life and job more rewarding.
About my family
• I am married and a mother of four children ages 16 boy, 8 girl, 4 boy, and 3 boy. My last two are Irish twins. They all keep me busy and on my toes. I also love animals and we have one dog an American Pit Bull Terrier that we adopted from a rescue named Zoey, and lots of farm cats and kittens.
Hobbies
• I don’t have time for a lot of hobbies outside of my kids, but I love to play tennis and basketball. My favorite sports teams to watch are the Chiefs, KU, and Golden State Warriors. I love music and concerts. I also have a love for makeup and skin care products which is still the Esthetician side of me, I guess!
Most rewarding part about being a provider
• Being able to tell when a patient is put at ease because they can tell I care, and they feel heard as a person and not just a patient. Caring for others is a passion of mine inside and outside of work. I want that part of me to always show through as a provider and a nurse.
