EXPLORING WAYS TO GIVE

If you would like to become a member of the Clara Barton Hospital family of supporters, you may do so in several ways:

You may designate your gift for a restricted purpose or specific project, scholarship fund or endowed fund, or you may allow the Foundation’s Board of Trustees to determine the greatest area of need for your donation. You may make a donation to memorialize or honor any individual, family or group. You may make a planned gift or donation, to maximize tax advantages and/or protect current or deferred future income. You may wish to make a corporate matching gift. Choose the most meaningful way to make a difference, need help just give us a call.

Personal Contribution/cash

A cash donation in support of Clara Barton Hospital Foundation is the easiest way to give. Donations are accepted by cash, check or credit card (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express). If you itemize for the IRS your check made payable to Clara Barton Foundation is generally tax-deductible. We’ll send you an acknowledge letter for your tax records.

Donations can be made online by mail or in person. This gift is the perfect way to help the Foundation that supports outstanding health care at Clara Barton Hospital.

Thoughtful Gifts

Tribute gifts are an especially meaningful way to remember family members and friends who have touched your life in a very special way, while enabling Clara Barton Hospital to sustain the level of personal, compassionate care for which it is renowned. If there is a loss of a family member, friend, or associate, of when there is a special individual or occasion to honor, a thoughtful gift to the Foundation is truly meaningful.

Your tribute gift to the Hospital Foundation helps to meet the immediate and ongoing needs of the Hospital, its patients and their families. Your contribution is used for the Hospital’s greatest needs, unless otherwise designated.

Securities

Stock gift or other appreciated securities can be transferred to the Clara Barton Hospital Foundation to benefit those we serve. A gift of this type may offer substantial tax advantages, including avoiding capital gains tax while receiving an income tax charitable deduction for the fair market value of the securities contributed to us. Clara Barton Hospital Foundation staff will work with you and your advisers to make gift arrangements.

Members of the Foundation are essential to the success of Clara Barton! Your membership in the Clara Barton Hospital Foundation gives you a voice in the health care of our community. All members of the Foundation may vote on the election of the Board of Trustees for the Foundation and the Board of Directors for the Hospital and attend the Annual Meeting in January each year to learn more about the Clara Barton family.
