Clara Barton Medical Center is excited to welcome Drs. JuliAnne Rathbun and Ryan Payne from Salina Urology Associates to the Hoisington Clinic. Beginning this month, the physicians will provide outreach urology services on the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Fridays of each month. In addition to seeing patients in the clinic, they will also perform surgical procedures locally at Clara Barton Hospital.
Salina Urology Associates offers advanced diagnostics and treatments for a wide range of conditions, including kidney stone disease, urinary incontinence, low testosterone, erectile dysfunction, male infertility, recurrent urinary tract infections, enlarged prostate, vasectomy, and cancers of the bladder, kidney, prostate, and testicles.
Dr. Ryan Payne, a Salina native, earned his undergraduate degree in chemical engineering from Kansas State University and completed his medical training at the University of Kansas School of Medicine. He went on to complete his internship and residency in urology at the Medical College of Wisconsin, where he developed a specialty in Robotic Surgery utilizing the Da Vinci Robot.
Raised outside of Durham, KS, Dr. JuliAnne Rathbun earned her B.S. in Life Sciences and Athletic Training from Kansas State University before completing medical school at the University of Kansas School of Medicine–Salina. She completed her internship and residency at the University of Missouri in Columbia and specializes in urologic oncology, female reconstructive surgery, pediatric urology, and general urology.
“Being able to provide these services locally is a huge benefit for our patients,” said Shayla Cook, Clinic Practice Administrator at Clara Barton Medical Center. “Instead of having to travel out of town for appointments, testing, or even surgery, our patients now have access to advanced and comprehensive urology care right here at home. Having these services close by not only makes care more convenient, but it also allows for better continuity between clinic visits, diagnostic testing, and surgical treatment—all within our own community.”
