Clara Barton Medical Center is proud to announce that Deborah “Debbie” Snyder, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, has transitioned into a new role within the organization as a Family Practice Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) at Clara Barton Medical Clinic. After providing compassionate, patient-centered care as a nurse for the past 16 years, Snyder is now expanding her impact as a provider, serving patients of all ages in the clinic setting.
A familiar and trusted face at Clara Barton, Snyder has been a part of the organization since 2009. Over the years, she has continually advanced her education and clinical expertise, earning her LPN in 2005, RN in 2014, BSN in 2021, and her Master of Science in Nursing with APRN certification in 2023, all while continuing to care for patients in the community she calls home.
“For 16 years, I’ve had the opportunity to care for patients in a variety of nursing roles at Clara Barton, and I’m so excited to now serve them as a provider,” said Snyder. “This transition allows me to continue those relationships I’ve built over the years while providing care in a different way. Being able to stay local and grow within the Clara Barton family means the world to me.”
Snyder is now seeing patients at Clara Barton Medical Clinic, where she will primarily offer same-day appointments for acute illnesses and minor injuries, as well as routine follow-up care. Her role helps ensure patients have timely access to care when they need it most—whether for sudden health concerns or ongoing management of existing conditions.
“We are thrilled to welcome Debbie into her new role,” said Clinic Administrator, Shayla Cook. “She has consistently gone above and beyond for her patients throughout her nursing career, and that same dedication and compassion now carry over into her work as an APRN. Her longstanding relationships with our patients and staff make her a true asset to our team.”
A Great Bend native, Snyder said her heart has always been in Central Kansas.
“I love the open countryside, the pace of small-town life, and the fact that you really get to know the people you care for,” said Snyder. “This area is home for me, and I’m honored to continue serving the people here.”
Outside of work, Snyder enjoys spending time with her husband, Russell, and their two children, Brayden and Brylee. Together, they enjoy camping, dirt road cruising, catching sunrises and sunsets, and traveling to new places.
