Clara Barton Medical Center is pleased to announce the addition of Kelsey Wallpe, DPT, to their dedicated team of therapy professionals. Originally from Russell, Kelsey is excited to bring her knowledge and passion for patient care back to rural central Kansas.
Kelsey earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from the Franciscan University of Steubenville. She went on to achieve her Doctorate of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Science from the University of Kansas Medical Center, graduating in May 2023. Following her graduation, Kelsey gained valuable experience working at Decatur County Memorial Hospital in Indiana, where she provided both in-patient and out-patient care.
“I find working in the medical field rewarding because I get to witness first-hand the progress and functional changes that allow my patients to return to the activities they love,” said Kelsey. “My best advice for my patients is to always stay consistent with their goals and exercises for the most effective progress.”
Growing up as one of six children, Kelsey has always valued the importance of community and family. She has been happily married to her husband, Evan, for a year, and they have recently returned to the area to be closer to family.
Outside of work, Kelsey enjoys spending time outdoors, baking sourdough bread, and savoring a good cup of coffee.
“We are thrilled to welcome Kelsey to our team of skilled therapists at Clara Barton,” said Natalie Bieberle, Director of Therapy Services. “Her knowledge, compassion, and professionalism will be invaluable in providing exceptional care to our patients. With Kelsey on board, Clara Barton Therapy Services will continue to thrive and deliver quality care to our community.”
